Rose hit 7k and Annabeth is at 1,600 or so and I haven't done one since November....so a question meme!

Currently I play Rose Lalonde/Daisy and Annabeth Chase, but feel free to ask about characters I played before/characters I used to play at Decollage as well.

I can also do RELATIONSHIP DOTS if you can't think of questions.

Annabeth thinks Ace is interesting! Not necessarily like ~an exciting happy guy~ or anything but someone who's easy to talk to and seems to understand that there's a lot of shit to get done and someone has to do it. Which is nice! She appreciates that. He's fun to talk to and she wants to get to know him more, because she's on a quest to find more sane (well that's relative) people in Aather and also to find more people to hang out with because Percy 24/7 is awful.

Sssso far Ace doesn't have much of an impression, for a number of reasons, one of which is that Ace is kind of biased against Citrine as a whole, even with the significant roster change. And, well, Ace isn't nice or caring enough to not let his dislike of "Citrine" bleed over to an automatic mild dislike of even members of Citrine who are unconnected to his reasons for not liking Citrine. So right now his feeling is that he doesn't really want to talk to her. BUT he also feels like he can't brush her off due to needing to pretend he is a Good Knight No Really so that's...what he does. Though part of that is also Ace not wanting to make things harder for Zero re: Ichiru being heartnommed.

Other than that, Ace doens't have many thoughts on Annabeth as an individual beyond the sense that she is a pretty down-to-earth and sensible person. Which is a plus! But it would be more of a plus if Ace wasn't so biased when it comes to Citrine. |Db

And another question if you want to continue -- what are Annabeth's feelings on Ichiru being heartnommed? :?

Annabeth is extremely....unsure. She cares for Ichiru and what he wants, but to get what he wants at the cost of making someone else miserable, that's just...not right? Right now she's very conflicted because of that, and since Ichiru isn't exactly available to interrogate she has to go on what other people are saying to make judgements. And that's something Annabeth hates more than anything, is not knowing enough.

Why does he dislike Citrine? I never particularly kept up with outside-Peridot shenanigans until Annabeth got in.

Well, there used to be a character on Citrine, Drift, who was Zero's friend. But then he had a heart game and Drift was affected really badly and his relationship with the rest of Citrine got really rocky, to the point he started staying at Sterling using a glass key that Zero had gotten for him.

And...well, Ace's dislike of Citrine is basically due to that incident. |Db It has very little to do with the team itself and more to do with him being overprotective of Zero and having a personal dislike for Drift. So that whole time that was happening, Ace's thought process was like:

hate Drift
-> hate Drift for making Zero miserable and unhappy
-> hate reasons for why Drift is making Zero miserable and unhappy
-> hate Citrine for being part of why Drift is making Zero miserable and unhappy.

And then after that was over Ichiru showed up on Citrine and it was pretty much the same thing over again except in past tense, because Ace had prior knowledge of what Ichiru's done to Zero in the past. So now Citrine has basically cemented in his mind as "team where things that hurt Zero and make Zero unhappy show up" and that is enough to bias him against Citrine.

I'm sorry Annabeth, Ace is not actually that reasonable a person after all. '-'b

Rose thinks that Cat is very nice! Though she may be a little biased because she met him when he was a wee, adorable kitten and her one fatal weakness is cats. Rose loves cats. She wants to get to know him better!

Well, Cat's first impression was as a cat and that impression was OMG NICE GIRL WHO GIVES ME PETS 'o'!!!

And. Now that he's no longer a cat. He's sort of retained that feeling, albeit in a much more muted form. He'd like to get to know her better too!

How does Annabeth feel about Aather in general so far?

Rose on Raven:


Rose thinks of Raven as someone who commands a lot of her respect! Not only because he's dating her mentor/teammate but also because he's someone you can depend on in tough situations and seems to know what he's doing, at least when it comes to other people. She thinks of him as almost a surrogate older-brother-slash-kind of-father figure for the Peridots (not necessarily because he's an old man but that is a little bit of it). Overall she likes him a lot '-'b And she is excited to learn more baking!!

Rose on Erika as initial impressions...


I would say for reference, people who Rose meets in Aather usually start out as a Blue with Two Dots, so Erika gives off just enough of an impression of intelligence and a challenge to Rose's PA superiority to be considered a small threat. Of course, one does not go around wantonly accusing new acquaintances of being wily enemies so she remains stoically neutral. Erika is still someone she'd like to talk to more, because as we see in Homestuck Rose's friends and love interests are mainly DUMB OPTIMISTS and PASSIVE AGGRESSIVE SCHEMERS.

In general, it is easier at this point to get Rose to feel affection for someone than it is for Annabeth, who remains pretty stubborn and hard to get along with. Being not-Percy and having yellow generally means she likes you a lot!

Battler starts out at mid-blues for pretty much anyone who gives a friendly impression and getting into yellow from there is pretty easy. From there on, though, only teammates and good friends get further than two points yellow and pink is pretty much impossible unless you're Beatrice.

WELL SHE HAS ALREADY TALKED ABOUT THIS WITH DAVE AND BATTLER and has come to the conclusion that while she might not like it she wouldn't say anything because she is also dating someone else. UNCOMFORTABLE BUT NOT REALLY IN THE POSITION TO SAY ANYTHING. She's actually just as jealous as Dave.

Which castmate, aside from Jake, would you like at aather and why?
